They’ve avoided injuries to starters, but the latest update on young squad player Senny Mayulu isn’t good. The versatile midfielder was forced off before half time when playing for France’s Under 21s team against Estonia earlier this week. The initial reports were that it was a left thigh problem, but it didn’t seem too serious. Mayulu even stayed with the group in the hopes he would be fit to play the other games in this break. The statement says he will have treatment in the “coming weeks,” hinting at a more considerable absence. There is no mention of surgery, thankfully. “After suffering an injury to his left thigh while playing for France’s U21s against Estonia on Tuesday night, Senny Mayulu will be sidelined while receiving treatment for the next few weeks,” it read. There is a single “heart” reaction to it on the page.
