Liverpool Are Among The Clubs Keeping Tabs On This Gifted Youngster: One For The Future? In a recent report , journalist Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Liverpool are among the clubs keeping tabs on Club Tijuana youngster Gilberto Mora. It has been claimed that the Reds would have to pay up to £40m to land the Mexico international, but are facing competition from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuit of him. Mora’s Impressive Rise In Mexican Football Mora has enjoyed a great run of form at Tijuana in this campaign so far as he has put in a series of influential displays for them in the final third. The 17-year-old has registered five goals and grabbed one assist in seven matches for the Mexican outfit this season in the Liga MX Apertura. The Mexican teenager is currently among the most gifted young playmakers in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that the Reds are in the mix to sign him next year. His current contract at the Mexican club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this season. Mora is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. The Mexican sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Mora is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a striker or as a left-winger if asked to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can cope with the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board next year. We can expect Mora to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola’s frontline. He is already good enough to fight for a regular starting role at the Merseyside club. At 17, Mora has the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run, so Iraola should focus on going all out to lure Mora to Anfield in 2027.
