Hansi Flick ready to shake up Barcelona squad after international break amid fixture overload

Hansi Flick ready to shake up Barcelona squad after international break amid fixture overload Barcelona are heading into one of the most demanding stretches of their season, and Hansi Flick is preparing to make greater use of players who have so far played a secondary role. On that note, according to SPORT , the Barcelona manager is expected to rotate his squad heavily once the international break ends.  With the schedule moving to two matches per week this month, managing workload will become a priority, particularly with major Champions League fixtures and El Clasico approaching. Gabriel Jesus and Hamza could get their chance As per the outlet, several Barcelona players who have yet to start a match this season, including Gabriel Jesus, Hamza Abdelkarim and Brian Farinas, could see their fortunes change as Flick looks for fresh legs across the next few weeks. The trio has had limited opportunities during the opening part of the campaign, while Alejandro Balde and Gavi have also seen less action than they did last season. Gabriel Jesus could get more minutes this month. Raphinha could be rested against Getafe Raphinha’s situation has added major complications to Flick’s selection plans.  The Brazilian returned from international duty with a right-thigh problem , making the upcoming meeting with Getafe a potential opportunity to give him additional recovery time. This is where Jesus or Hamza could benefit if the Brazilian is left out, although Barcelona also have to monitor fatigue elsewhere.  Lamine Yamal and Anthony Gordon have both been heavily involved with their national teams , while several defenders have also accumulated significant minutes. Brian Farinas could finally make his Barcelona debut. Barcelona must protect the squad for October Notably, Barcelona face Galatasaray away in Turkey and PSG at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League during this demanding period, before the October 25 Clasico against Real Madrid. In La Liga, before the Clasico, Barcelona face Getafe at home and Real Betis away. That’s five games in 15 days. Flick therefore has little reason to push players through every available minute if alternatives are ready to step in.
