Portuguese international wants to return to Barcelona soon – Romano

Portuguese international wants to return to Barcelona soon – Romano Barcelona, in recent times, have rewarded players who have shown the determination and commitment to play for the club. It was evident when the club worked hard to re-sign Joao Cancelo in the summer, this time on a permanent deal and the player has paid dividends as well. Now, it appears one more Portuguese international is keen on returning to Barcelona, after a spell in the Middle East. Much like Cancelo, the former Atletico Madrid forward often reminisces his time in Catalonia , having played for the team for a brief period under Xavi Hernandez. Felix joined Barcelona on loan during the 2023/24 season, scoring ten goals and mustering six assists in 44 competitive matches. Barcelona were not able to sign him permanently, as he joined Chelsea on a deal worth €52 million in the summer of 2024. He is currently plying his trade for Al Nassr, having joined the club last summer. No conversations with Barcelona Joao Felix impressed for Portugal during the international break. Although Felix is keen on returning to Barça, his larger goal is to return to Europe after a short stint at Al Nassr, where he has already scored 30 goals in 55 matches. Keeping that in mind, Felix, still only 26, is ready to consider other options in Europe if Barcelona are no longer an option. Felix could be an interesting option for Barcelona given that he has loads of experience and has played with most of the current first-team stars, including Raphinha. However, the operation could prove to be too expensive for the Catalans, for a player who is only expected to play second fiddle to current options such as Anthony Gordon, Raphinha and Karim Adeyemi.
