Tottenham Hotspur Have Been Offered A Chance To Land This AC Milan Defender: Should De Zerbi Go For Him? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have been offered a chance to land AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori. It is believed that Spurs could face competition from Coventry City, Newcastle United, Everton, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Fulham in pursuit of the English defender next year. Tomori’s Impressive Form In Serie A Last Season Tomori enjoyed a good run of form at the Milan club in the previous campaign when he put in a series of solid performances at the heart of their backline. The 28-year-old picked up three assists in 37 matches for the Milan giants last season on all fronts. The English talent is currently among the most talented centre-backs in Serie A . Hence, Spurs would do well to bring him back to England in 2027. His current contract at the San Siro will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal in January or on a free transfer next summer. Tomori loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to make some crucial interceptions for his side on the defensive end of the field. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is an accurate passer as well from the back. Standing at 1.85m, Tomori is a strong presence in the air as well. The English sensation is primarily a centre-back but can also function as a right-sided wide player if told to do so. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Chelsea and wouldn’t take any time to settle into life at Tottenham. We can expect Tomori to add more bite and steel to Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s defence. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. At 28, Tomori is playing in his prime and could be a real asset in the North London club’s squad in the coming years. Hence, De Zerbi should focus on going for a defender with his skill set this January or at the end of this season.
