French clubs interested in former Marseille prospect Enzo Sternal Enzo Sternal (19) was backed to make the step up to Olympique de Marseille’s first team, having come through their academy. Prior to his move to RSC Anderlecht last summer, Get French Football News had identified the Franco-Algerian playmaker as one to watch. Sternal had looked to make an impact at his new club following his move, but was almost immediately struck down by an ACL injury that completely scuppered his first year in Belgium. Despite a year on the sidelines, Sternal remains highly rated. Foot Mercato understands that several French clubs took concrete steps to bring Sternal back to France in the summer. Back from injury, the playmaker has now enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, scoring twice and registering three assists in the last three matches with Anderlecht’s youth side.
