⚠️ Fans attack bus in Spain, Copa del Rey match suspended; watch A match between Atlético Unión Güímar and Sporting de Hortaleza in Spain had to be SUSPENDED after incidents of violence. Supporters of the home team attacked Sporting de Hortaleza’s bus with stones and eggs upon arriving at the stadium. Once inside the stadium, Sporting de Hortaleza’s players refused to take the field due to the lack of police presence. As a result, it will be up to the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) to decide what to do with the match, valid for the first round of the Copa del Rey. According to Diario AS, there are three options: play the match at a neutral venue, play behind closed doors, or declare one of the teams the winner. In the latter case, the decision would depend on what the referees reported in the match report, which has not yet been released. This article was translated into English by Artificial Intelligence.
