Chelsea Are Among The Clubs Hoping To Land This Talented Winger: Good Option For Alonso? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Chelsea are among the clubs hoping to land Benfica winger Gianluca Prestianni. It has been claimed that the Blues would have to rival Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion in the race to sign the Argentine talent next year. Prestianni’s Impressive Form In Portuguese Football Prestianni has enjoyed a good run of form for Benfica this season as he has been responsible for putting in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old found the back of the net eight times and earned three assists in 12 appearances for the Portuguese club in this campaign so far across all competitions. The Argentine talent is currently one of the most gifted wide players in Liga Portugal. Hence, it is no wonder that the Blues are in the mix to acquire his services next year. His current contract at Benfica will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Chelsea to sign him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign. (Photo by Carlos Rodrigues/Getty Images) Will Prestianni Be A Good Option For Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso? Prestianni is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out in the wide positions. He has the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty area and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. The Argentine talent can even contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his side. Prestianni is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if told to do so. However, there are some question marks on whether he can adapt to the physical demands and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to win the race for his services. Prestianni would bring more firepower to Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso’s attack. He is capable of challenging for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge. At 20, the future looks quite bright for Prestianni. Therefore, he would be a great option for the Blues to consider this winter or at the end of this campaign.
