Juventus’ Lois Openda could make Lyon move permanent

Juventus’ Lois Openda could make Lyon move permanent Lois Openda’s (26) loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais has only just begun, however, the Ligue 1 club could make the Belgian’s move to the Groupama Stadium permanent at the end of the season, Sacha Tavolieri has told Tutto Juve . Openda struggled to make the breakthrough at Juventus and so, just one year after joining the Italian giants, he departed, returning to France on a season-long loan. Lyon are paying a €3m loan fee for the Belgium international, but there is no buy option. However, that is not to say that the former RC Lens forward won’t make his move to OL permanent come the summer. Tavolieri understands this to be a very real possibility, although much will depend on where Lyon finish in the league this season. “A permanent move? It will obviously depend on the club’s sporting results: if OL were to have a good season in Ligue 1 and manage to qualify for the Champions League next year, there’s a scenario in which they could make an offer to buy him outright ,” the Franco-Belgian journalist told Tutto Juve. In nine games, Openda has two goals and one assist for Les Gones, who currently sit second in Ligue 1, two points behind leaders AS Monaco. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
