Milan and Inter confirmed the purchase of the Stadio Meazza and surrounding areas in November 2025 , effectively beginning the countdown to building their new stadium there. Concerns had been raised that the appeals could delay or even halt the project, but Tuesday’s ruling marks another major step toward building the new San Siro. The two Milan-based clubs hope to complete the stadium by 2031, allowing it to host matches at Euro 2032, which Italy will co-host with Turkiye. With the current Stadio Meazza having failed UEFA inspections for the tournament, the new stadium remains Milan’s only proposed venue for Euro 2032.
