Huddersfield sign Newcastle Knights winger Aoake

The 2027 season will be Jim Lenihan's first full year in charge of Huddersfield Giants [SWPIX.COM] Huddersfield Giants have signed Newcastle Knights winger Logan Aoake on a two-year deal. The 21-year-old scored 16 tries in 37 appearances in the New South Wales Cup. Jim Lenihan's side finished 12th in Super League in 2026 after winning six of their final eight matches. "Logan is an outside back comfortable on the wing or in the centre, which is crucial for the rebuilding of our backline after the departures of Taane Milne and Jacob Gagai," director of rugby Andy Kelly told the club website. "We see him as a player who is ready to flourish under the coaching here at the club. "His opportunities at Newcastle have been limited due to the first team there having two of the league's (NRL's) best in (Dominic) Young and (Greg) Marzhew, but we feel he is ready to make the step up here."
