It is a glowing endorsement of the 22-year-old, who has long been regarded as a natural leader despite his relatively young age. Bellingham’s influence, drive and big-game temperament have made him one of the first names on the England teamsheet, and many believe he is destined to wear the armband in the future. His recent form has only strengthened that case, with the midfielder reborn under Jose Mourinho and widely tipped to reach the very top. Former teammate Toni Kroos even described him as the best midfielder in the world when fit. The next permanent Real Madrid captain? Bellingham has done well under Jose Mourinho. Real Madrid are gradually building a new spine, and Bellingham appears a natural candidate to lead that group. His authority on the pitch, combined with his quality and competitive edge, makes him an ideal figure to carry the club forward. Bellingham has already shown he can shoulder responsibility at the Bernabeu, often dragging the team through difficult moments with his sheer force of will. Should he continue on his current trajectory, a long-term leadership role at Real Madrid feels inevitable.
