History-making Harry Kane scores twice as England beat Czechia 3-0 England claimed a 3-0 victory over Czechia in the UEFA Nations League at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to three matches. Kane made his 125th international appearance in the fixture, equalling Peter Shilton’s record for most appearances for the Three Lions . Trent Alexander-Arnold almost gave England the lead inside the seventh minute, whipping a free-kick inside the near post, but Lukas Hornicek kept it out. Czechia quickly responded with a chance at the other end, with Alex Kral dragging an effort wide. Thomas Tuchel’s side scored the opener in the 27th minute through an own goal, as Vladimir Coufal turned Kane’s cross into his own net. Moments later, Elliot Anderson should have doubled the lead, side-footing off target from a promising position. Kane made it 2-0 in the 40th minute, finishing clinically from Morgan Rogers’ pass. Shortly after half-time, the Bayern Munich striker came close to adding another, having received a pass from Myles Lewis-Skelly, but his effort hit the crossbar. Hornicek then denied Jude Bellingham before Kane added to England’s advantage. Lewis Hall delivered a brilliant cross into the area for the 33-year-old to complete his brace, becoming the oldest England player to score two goals in back-to-back matches. Czechia’s first real attempt in the second period came in the 79th minute when Pavel Sulc cut inside to tee up Roman Macek, whose effort flew wide. England cruised through the remainder of the match, sealing a second consecutive victory over Czechia. England are back in action on November 12 when they host Croatia before facing Spain in a potential top-of-the-table clash three days later.
