Arsenal Remain Keen On Recruiting This Real Madrid Playmaker: What Will He Add To Arteta’s Side? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Arsenal remain keen on recruiting Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring the Turkish talent to the Emirates Stadium. Guler’s Impressive Numbers In La Liga This Season Guler has enjoyed a decent run of form in La Liga this season as he has put in a string of impressive displays for the Madrid giants in the final third. The Turkiye international has registered one goal and picked up three assists in seven matches for Los Blancos in this campaign so far in various competitions. The 21-year-old is currently one of the most gifted playmakers in La Liga. Hence, it is no wonder that the Gunners have set their sights on him. His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap next year. Guler is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He has the vision to engineer some clear-cut chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and can strike the ball with power from long range. The Turkish sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Guler is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder or a right-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks on whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to bring him on board in 2027. We can expect Guler to add more goals and creativity to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting role at the North London club. At 21, Guler has the potential to be a world-class player in his position someday. Hence, the Gunners would be wise to go all out to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this January or next summer.
