AS Monaco’s Oumar Konaté set for Laval loan
AS Monaco’s Oumar Konaté set for Laval loan AS Monaco centre-forward Oumar Konaté (19) is set to join Stade Lavallois on a season-long loan, as per a report from L’Équipe . The Ivory Coast U20 international has appeared for the Principality club’s senior side this season. Konaté made an appearance during Monaco’s Ligue 1 opener against Le Havre AC, however, he has not featured since. Chances won’t necessarily be forthcoming for the Ivorian at the Stade Louis II this season. Paris Brunner has enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign, whilst Folarin Balogun, Mika Biereth, and Matthis Abline all play in his position. No buy option in loan deal He is instead set to accrue experience in Ligue 2 with Laval, L’Équipe understands. The striker is seen as a player for the future at Monaco and so no purchase option will be included in the loan deal. Konaté will arrive at a Laval side that currently sit rock bottom of France’s second tier. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
