Flick gets four Barcelona players back from international duty ahead of crucial Getafe clash

Flick gets four Barcelona players back from international duty ahead of crucial Getafe clash Barcelona are entering the final days of the international break with Hansi Flick finally seeing his squad return to full strength ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Getafe. According to Mundo Deportivo , the biggest positive is that Joao Cancelo, Jules Kounde, Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart have all returned to club duty without any fresh concerns.  The outlet mentions that the quartet trained with the rest of the Barcelona squad on Wednesday after completing their respective international commitments. With Getafe now just days away , Flick will be pleased to have several players back under his watch rather than waiting on developments from their national teams. Meanwhile, Bernal and Espart also joined the group, giving Flick more options as he begins to assess his team for the weekend. Interestingly, Joan Garcia was another positive presence on the training pitch, although the goalkeeper only took part in part of the session with the group.  This means that his participation in the upcoming La Liga clash is still uncertain as Flick would ideally want to avoid any unnecessary risk at this stage of the campaign. Furthermore, Frenkie de Jong also trained for a portion of the workout as his return continues to be managed. Barcelona squad update ahead of Getafe Joao Cancelo has reported to club duties. The manager will now have Thursday and Friday morning sessions to fine-tune his plans before Barcelona host Getafe on Saturday.  Those two workouts should provide a clearer picture of who is ready to start after the international break, as by then, more players will report to club duties. Lastly, Raphinha remains the notable absentee. The Brazilian returned early from international duty after experiencing discomfort, although subsequent medical examinations provided encouraging news. The winger was found to have oedema, but tests did not reveal a serious injury . Barcelona will nevertheless take a cautious approach with a player who has already had fitness problems this season.
