Recent reports in Italy claim that McTominay has asked his representatives to re-open discussions over a new contract with Napoli, but there have also been suggestions that if an agreement is not reached quickly, that he could be inclined to listen to offers from other clubs during the coming transfer windows. According to reports from Tuttomercatoweb , Real Madrid have been in contact with McTominay’s entourage to request information regarding his current situation. TMW also claims that several other Premier League clubs are poised to do the same. This would ensure that McTominay stays on board until the end of the 2026-27 season at least, and would also give Napoli an extra few months to arrange a new contract for their star midfielder.
