Sorinola set to play 100th Plymouth Argyle game

The 25-year-old will reach his century if he plays in Saturday's game against AFC Wimbledon at Home Park. The full-back moved to the Pilgrims as a free agent in January 2024 after leaving Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise. Signed by short-lived head coach Ian Foster, Sorinola has gone on to play under Wayne Rooney, Miron Muslic and current head coach Tom Cleverley and has become one of the longest-serving players in the current squad "He's technically outstanding player, and a very good 1v1 defender, and a great guy," Cleverley said of Sorinola. "He's very well liked by all the staff and all the players and it's a big achievement for playing 100 games at any club, which I'm sure he'll do at the weekend. We've got Matty, Joe [Edwards], Wes [Harding], Alex Hartridge, Jack MacKenzie now, so it's a strong area of the pitch the full-back areas, and quite unusually I'm blessed with two who can play both sides with Wes and Matty which is quite rare. "His technical ability, the 1v1 defending and, most importantly, a great member of the squad in terms of how he is as a person."
