'Crazy' Liverpool star has future sealed as major transfer news emerges
'Crazy' Liverpool star has future sealed as major transfer news emerges Andoni Iraola has already made a lot of change occur at Liverpool since his appointment. During the summer transfer window, he welcomed four new players through the Anfield doors and, although over £150 million was spent, they still need more new players to be brought in. Saying this about Liverpool a few years ago would've been a complete shock to the system as, it was well documented that Jurgen Klopp rarely ever got backed in the transfer window by Fenway Sports Group. But, these days, spending that amount of money each season has just become normal. Average players are selling for at least £50 million now which, back in the day, could've got you Mohamed Salah while also leaving you with some change. However, as the game develops and teams spend more money, certain decisions need to be made and now, the fate of one Liverpool star seems to have just been confirmed. Milos Kerkez could be on his way out of Liverpool after their links with Adrien Truffert One of the main positions that Liverpool's fans want their team to upgrade in the future is left-back. At the moment, Milos Kerkez is their first-choice with Kostas Tsimikas being his back-up. And, while most people thought that the Hungarian would be the second-coming of Andy Robertson , that couldn't have been further from the truth. Not only has Kerkez disappointed fans with his performances but, his ability to defend and attack has been crippled. Everything he seems to try and do fails and, at the moment, he's a massive liability. So, the fact that TEAMtalk have now linked Adrien Truffert to Liverpool could mark the end of Kerkez's time as Liverpool's first-choice left-back. "Manchester United are expected to face serious competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool, as well as other leading European clubs, for Bournemouth left-back Adrien Truffert," they wrote . "Sources [are] indicating that the France international will be in serious demand ahead of the 2027 transfer windows. "Truffert joined Bournemouth from Rennes in 2025 as a replacement for Liverpool-bound Milos Kerkez , and quickly became a regular, offering attacking width as well as defensive reliability. "Now the Merseysiders, who are yet to see a consistent tune from Kerkez since his £40m move to Anfield, could also look to raid the Vitality Stadium again – though the list of elite clubs pursuing him will be competitive, sources expect." Milos Kerkez's time at Liverpool could be coming to an end Although Liverpool signing Truffert doesn't definitely mean that Kerkez won't be their first choice , it certainly feels like that will be the case. Because, even though Kerkez is still young, the fact that he's still not managed to get back to his best despite Iraola now being at the helm is rather worrying. Of course, the full-back is only 22 years old so there is still time for him to find his feet but, if the Reds are wanting to challenge for the Premier League or the Champions League, they must ensure that their starting XI can all meet expectations. Obviously, signing Truffert would feel a bit like history is repeating itself as they would be signing someone from the same team in the same position. But, from his performances over the last year or so, the Frenchman looks like he has what it takes to get to the very top. In fact, Truffert's addition could even mark the end of the " crazy " defenders time at Anfield. The rumour mill is obviously going into overdrive right now but, of all the recent links that have emerged, Liverpool signing a left-back doesn't feel like too much of an out-there shout.
