Liverpool ready to blow Chelsea out of the water and steal world-class star
Liverpool ready to blow Chelsea out of the water and steal world-class star Liverpool are reportedly ready to outspend Chelsea in order to steal a world-class star. What a signing this could be. The Reds' midfield definitely needs some work. That's plain to see and we're shocked that Liverpool didn't make a proper move to fix things in the summer. In fact, they sold Curtis Jones and didn't replace him - things actually got worse . The problem is that Liverpool really only have attack-first midfield options, with none of them particularly adept at winning the ball back or controlling the middle of the pitch. Alexis Mac Allister is the best at this but he's also someone best-suited to playing alongside such a player, rather than filling the role himself. Liverpool, though, will move for someone in 2027 and they have their target in mind. Liverpool ready to outbid Chelsea Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Liverpool are ready to outbid Chelsea for Lamine Camara. This is a story that's really generated steam quickly - there were no outright serious reports linking the Reds to the midfielder over the summer and then suddenly, right at the deadline, it became clear that Liverpool were very interested. They made a call to AS Monaco and Camara to make it clear that an offer would arrive in 2027. Now Jacobs says that Chelsea, who had a deal all but done at the deadline, won't go above the €55m they initially 'agreed'. Liverpool almost certainly will, however. That's primarily what their call to Monaco was about - and why Monaco's president was talking about receiving more money down the line if they pulled out of the Chelsea deal. We're massive fans of the player and do feel that Camara can be the answer to Liverpool's problems. His start to the season has him playing at world-class levels, too, and €55m almost certainly ends up being too low for him, anyway. So yes, they absolutely should outbid Chelsea here. Liverpool can land a dream signing in the process.
