Confirmed: Barcelona squad list to face Getafe – key player receives medical clearance

Confirmed: Barcelona squad list to face Getafe – key player receives medical clearance FC Barcelona square off against Getafe later today on their return to action in La Liga following the international break. Having won each of their eight games so far across all competitions, the Blaugrana will be gunning to extend their 100% winning streak today at the Spotify Camp Nou. And, ahead of the game, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players who will be at his disposal today to face Jose Bordalas’ man. The big news is that key player and starting goalkeeper Joan Garcia has received medical clearance and has been named in the squad to face Getafe. “First-team player Joan Garcia has received medical clearance and will be available to coach Hansi Flick for today’s match against Getafe CF,” the club statement read. This will come as a boost for Barcelona, with their first-choice shot-stopper set to man the goal again after missing the match against Sevilla due to a knee injury. Meanwhile, Eric Garcia, who suffered a small discomfort with Spain and returned early in the international break, is fit again and has been included in the squad. The same cannot be said about club captain Raphinha as he has yet to fully recover from the minor injury he suffered while playing for Brazil. Frenkie de Jong has resumed training but is not yet ready to make a comeback, while Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji also remain unavailable for the La Liga champions.
