Bayern Munich set their sights on FC Barcelona defender Jules Koundé Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on FC Barcelona’s Jules Koundé (27), according to Bild . Several Premier League clubs – Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City – are also said to be interested in the French defender. A key member of the Catalan squad, Koundé has seen his playing time drop significantly in recent weeks. Although he started two of his five appearances since the start of the season, Hansi Flick has left the Frenchman on the substitutes’ bench for the last three La Liga matchdays. This drop in status, whilst understood by Koundé, could therefore lead the versatile defender to consider a move away from Barça, even though his contract runs until 2030. Having joined the Blaugranas from Sevilla FC for a fee of €50m in the summer of 2022, the player – who came through the ranks at Girondins de Bordeaux – has made 193 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 10 goals and providing 22 assists.
