Como boss Cesc Fabregas slams FIGC for Moise Kean mistreatment
Como boss Cesc Fabregas slams FIGC for Moise Kean mistreatment Serie A side Como take on Roma in what will be a key clash for both teams in the league, as they are likely to be the closest competitors for Inter in the title race. The stage is now heating up too, as Cesc Fabregas spoke to the press today about the tie. He seemed frustrated about the Italian football federation (FIGC’s) treatment of striker Moise Kean, who picked up an injury during the international break. He made it clear that the forward’s mishandling could cost them him the game against Roma on Sunday. Fabregas said – via Gazzetta dello Sport : “Moise will be out for a week. He took a hard knock against Belgium and then returned to the pitch. We expected better communication between us and the Federation.” Fabregas also described this as a new problem, as Como haven’t always had players going to the international break. “Como is a team that makes a lot of changes regardless and now more than ever I have to be good at understanding how the players will react to the stress of playing for the national team, the matches, the travel, the jet lag.” The Spaniard believes it is a new challenge which he is willing to adapt to. “We’re not used to it; it’s a new problem for us that presents us with a new challenge. However, it’s a stimulating experience that we’ll have to adapt to; it’s part of growing up.” Kean hasn’t exactly been a regular for Como so far, as he joined them late in the summer transfer window. But in some weeks, his opportunity will definitely come under Fabregas. Kaustubh Pandey – GIFN
