☝️ Anthony Gordon bags his first for Barça as hot 2026/27 continues If there was ever a player who has shut down his detractors in brilliant fashion across the 2026/27 season, it's Barcelona's new boy, Anthony Gordon. The former Everton and Newcastle winger completed a sensational summer move to Spotify Camp Nou amid questions of whether or not he was ever at the required standard for a club of Barcelona's size. Thus far, his opening months in Catalunya have been nothing short of impressive. His excellent start at his new club continues as Blaugrana lock horns with Getafe at their beloved ground, with Gordon the man to break the deadlock just two minutes into the action. It was his first goal in Barça colours, following up on an excellent international break with the Three Lions, and with that Gordon now sits on four goals and one assist across his last four appearances for club and country, which included goals against Spain, Croatia, and Czechia. Though only bagging the single hit for Barcelona, Gordon has still impressed under Hansi Flick for the Spanish giants, picking up four assists in La Liga, including a pair in his full debut against Elche. Not viewed as good enough for the big boys in the Premier League this summer, but certainly showing them why they should have put a little faith in him.
