Manchester City 3 Liverpool 0: City player ratings from a crushing City win at Anfield Manchester City 3 (Erling Haaland 65′, Jeremy Doku 68′, Rayan Cherki 78′) Liverpool 0 Here are the City player ratings as Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield today . Ryan Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute and from that point onwards Enzo Maresca’s side swept Liverpool aside. Goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki sealed all three points for City today. The win sees City make it eight consecutive wins in all competitions. They have also now won their first six matches of the new Premier League season. Today’s win was a special one as Manchester City put the outside noise aside to control what they could on the pitch. The win was massive for Enzo Maresca’s side and shows that their character is strong as they powered on through it all to claim their second straight win at Anfield. Manchester City player ratings. Gianluigi Donnarumma-9/10: Donnarumma made a string of important saves when the game was nil-all. He also commanded his area well from set-pieces as he put in a strong display. Matheus Nunes-6/10: Nunes was good in the first half but not as good in the second half. Just after halftime he gave away possession that could have hurt his team. However, after Gravenberch’s red card he had little to do. Ruben Dias-7.5/10:  A proper captain’s display from Dias. He was strong at the back and led his team well. Marc Guehi-7/10:  Guehi had a couple of nervy moments in possession but he grew into the game and did his job well at the back. Nico O’Reilly-6/10: I thought Nico O’Reilly started the game well before he drifted out of the match. He was replaced by Josko Gvardiol and O’Reilly did look spent. Elliot Anderson-9. 5/10: Manchester City’s man-of-the-match in my opinion. He stood up early when the heat was on and lifted his team. He controlled the midfield with a great performance. Enzo Fernandez-7/10:  The Argentinian midfielder wasn’t sublime but he always wanted possession and was willing to work for his team. Iliman Ndiaye-5.5/10: Ndiaye toiled away without having a great impact on the match before he came off in the 56th minute. Rayan Cherki-8/10:  The French international always wanted possession and his goal was utterly sublime. Cherki is a key component of this Manchester City side and that was impossible to ignore today. Antoine Semenyo-7.5/10:  The Ghana international put himself about throughout the game and he should have grabbed an assist or two but his teammates weren’t on his wavelength Erling Haaland-7.5/10:  Haaland struggled to get into the game and put a great chance wide three minutes before he opened the scoring. City’s talisman broke Liverpool’s resistance with his goal and as such he gets a 7.5/10. Substitutes. Jeremy Doku-9/10:  A superb display from Doku off the bench. He grabbed a goal and gave Enzo Maresca’s side the attacking outlet they needed to blow Liverpool away. Josko Gvardiol-7.5/10:  A quality cameo off the bench and he grabbed an assist with a superb back heel. Ayyoub Bouaddi-N/A: Not on long enough to mark although he picked a late yellow card. Allan-N/A: Not on long enough to mark.
