Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Liverpool Playmaker: Dream Signing For Alonso?

Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Liverpool Playmaker: Dream Signing For Alonso? In a recent report , journalist Mark Brus revealed that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on Liverpool playmaker Florian Wirtz. It has been mentioned that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting the German international next year. Wirtz’s Lack Of Productivity At Liverpool This Season Wirtz has struggled to be productive for the Merseyside club in this campaign so far, but has put in a few eye-catching displays for them in the Premier League. The 23-year-old has secured one assist in six matches for the Reds this season in various competitions. The German talent is currently among the best playmakers in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that the Blues are eyeing a move for him next year. His current contract at Anfield will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Chelsea to land him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign. Wirtz is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. However, the German sensation has to find a way to add more goals and assists to his game. Wirtz is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a wide player on either flank if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take any time to adjust to life at Chelsea. Furthermore, Xabi Alonso knows the player well from their time together at Bayer 04 Leverkusen and could be the ideal man to unlock the best out of him. We can expect Wirtz to bring more quality and depth to the West London club’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge. At 23, Wirtz has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream signing for the Blues to consider this January or next summer. Thus, Alonso should focus on moving in for him soon.
