Hartlepool sign Grimsby defender Lavelle on loan
Sam Lavelle's last league outing for Grimsby came against Bristol Rovers in February [Shutterstock] Hartlepool have signed Grimsby Town defender Sam Lavelle on a 28-day loan. The 30-year-old has made one EFL Trophy appearance for the Mariners this season. He could make his debut for Pools, who are 20th in the National League , against Marine in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round on Saturday. "We are thrilled to complete the signing of Sam; he's a solid League Two defender, and he'll provide us with leadership and experience in the backline," boss Pete Wild told the club website.
