Champions League scores, live updates: Manchester United seeks bounce back vs. Atlético Madrid; Barcelona faces Galatasaray without Raphinha
Manchester United may be struggling in regards to their current form in the Premier League, but Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone isn't taking Michael Carrick's side lightly. As the two teams prepare to meet in Matchday 2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, the La Liga club is seeking its first win after dropping its opening match of the competition to Liverpool last month. The Red Devils have failed to win in their previous four domestic matches, but did take the full points beating Sabah FK 4-0 on Matchday 1 . Their current form isn't something Simeone is taking into account heading into Tuesday. "We face an opponent that applies intense pressure in your half, closing you down quickly, and has players with speed," Simeone said Monday. "Despite their recent results, including a lot of draws, they are still creating the kind of danger that they did last year. They're a strong team." The Brazilian has been red-hot this season, but he will miss Tuesday's clash in Istanbul against Galatasaray due to a hamstring injury suffered on international duty. The forward already missed Barcelona's win over Getafe at the weekend, but is expected to return for next week's big Champions League meeting against reigning back-to-back champions PSG. "It's not a big injury, but we have to take care about this," said Barcelona manager Hansi Flick last week . "Last season, I think [he had] three injuries like this, so we take care." Elsewhere, last year's competition runners-up and Premier League champions Arsenal host Lille at the Emirates Stadium; Inter Milan welcomes Club Brugge to the San Siro; USMNT defender Sergiño Dest and PSV visit RB Leipzig as Ricardo Pepi remains out injured; Bayern Munich will be without No. 1 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer against Viking with Jonas Urbig in goal; and Scott McTominay could be available a month after surgery to fix a benign cardiac arrhythmia as Napoli plays Villarreal and USMNT right-back Alex Freeman.
