Confirmed: Barcelona starting lineup against Galatasaray – Olmo starts as false nine With FC Barcelona set to take on Galatasaray in a little over an hour in the UEFA Champions League, manager Hansi Flick has announced the starting lineup that will take the field at the Rams Park Arena. And, the manager has made a few changes to the team that started in the La Liga clash against Getafe at the weekend. Perhaps, the biggest surprise comes in the central attacking position as Flick has chosen to start Dani Olmo as a false nine against Galatasaray. The Spanish international featured as a No. 10 in the previous match and moves further up the pitch tonight, at the expense of Gabriel Jesus, who drops to the bench. Anthony Gordon and Lamine Yamal start out wide once again. Meanwhile, Fermin Lopez comes into the team to fill the void left by Olmo’s change in role. Pedri, who started the league game on the bench, starts as well, coming in for Gavi, while summer signing Rodri retains his spot in the team. In defence, there are a couple of changes as Pau Cubarsi and Joao Cancelo come into the team, replacing Jules Kounde and Xavi Espart, respectively. Eric Garcia moves out to the right-back slot, while Gerard Martin continues as the second central defender. Joan Garcia retains his place in goal.
