📋 Vasco line-up for the first Copa Sul-Americana semi-final The time has come for Boca Juniors and Vasco to begin their battle for a place in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana final. Kickoff is coming up at 9:30 p.m. (Brasília time) at La Bombonera. This will be the first leg of the tournament's semifinal. Chile's Piero Maza will referee the match. SBT and Paramount+ will broadcast the game. Boca Juniors 🔵🟡 The Argentine side "dropped" into the Sudamericana after finishing third in their Libertadores group. They got past O'Higgins (playoffs), Católica and São Paulo to reach this stage. Coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena has a long list of absentees. The most significant is Paredes, the Xeneizes' creative linchpin. He picked up an injury after coming on against Instituto in the Argentine Clausura. Marchesín, Tomás Aranda, Tomás Belmonte, Bareiro and Velasco are also sidelined through injury. The lineup has not yet been announced. Vasco 💢 Vasco also had to go through the playoffs, but in their case it was because they finished second in their group. They knocked out Independiente Medellín before getting past Olimpia and Independiente Santa Fe. Pedro Emanuel is without a player who has been making a difference, as Colidio was not registered for the competition. Nuno Moreira and Adson were the main contenders to replace the former River player. Adson won that battle. Meanwhile, Spinelli has not recovered from a knock to his left foot sustained on Sunday. Cuesta and Barros remain sidelined through injury. And Matheus Carvalho is easing back into training after recovering from surgery.
