Arsenal would see out the 3-0 win in what was a disappointing night for Les Dogues. It was more bittersweet for Giroud, who was applauded by the home crowd when he came off the bench, and as he revealed to Canal Plus, he finished the night inside the Arsenal dressing room. “Mikel (Arteta) told me to come to the dressing room so that we can make the most of it together. It was brilliant, an incredible feeling. There are special feelings after five (six) years here. They (the fans) don’t forget. That’s what’s great about the English,” he told the broadcaster.
