Are you watching Barcelona? Nicolo Tresoldi shows his class as Club Brugge beat Inter in Milan It was another famous European night for Club Brugge yesterday as they beat Inter 4-3 in Milan. The star of the show was 22-year-old German striker Nicolo Tresoldi, who scored a hat-trick to make it nine goals in just 11 games so far this season. Tresoldi is rumoured to be being monitored by Barcelona, and after last night, there will certainly be even more interest coming his way from Catalonia and beyond. After 23 goals in 58 games last season, it was understandable that Club Brugge were determined to keep hold of Tresoldi for at least one more season. The Belgian champions have been incredibly savvy in knowing when to sell a player, and in Tresoldi they have one that’s value is only going to rise further if he can deliver in the Champions League. During last seasons European campaign, Tresoldi scored four goals in 14 games. In two games to start this one he already has four, and it would be quite the shock if he didn’t manage to add a few more goals in the coming months. Performing in the Champions League is what really attracts interest from top European clubs. At 22, Tresoldi is still young enough for teams to be really excited about his potential. If he continues on this trajectory, with goals coming for the German U21 side during the international break, we could be looking at the future forward of the German national team. Club Brugge have once again shown that they are elite at finding talent before top European clubs. Once they get them in the door, their player development is second to none in Belgian football and next summer they will once again be looking at the potential for a record sale. In the meantime, Tresoldi will remain a key player for Club Brugge as they look to progress in Europe and defend their Belgian Pro League title. GBeNeFN  |  Ben Jackson
