Lyon full-back Nicolás Tagliafico to be out for several weeks due to injury Olympique Lyonnais’ Nicolás Tagliafico (34) is expected to miss several weeks of action, his manager Paulo Fonseca announced at a press conference on the eve of the home match against Crystal Palace in the Europa League. Called up to the Argentina squad during the September international break, the full-back is reportedly suffering from a muscle injury. “He’ll be out for three weeks, I think,” said Fonseca. This is a real blow for OL, who can now only rely on Abner Vinícius (26) to cover the left flank, whilst Mohamed Ouédraogo (23) will be sidelined for several months after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his knee a few days ago. A key member of the Rhône-based side’s squad, Tagliafico has had a difficult start to the season, having had his pre-season cut short due to his late return from the World Cup, where he played in the final for Argentina.
