Hansi Flick goes past Luis Enrique to become the best performing Barcelona manager of all-time

Hansi Flick goes past Luis Enrique to become the best performing Barcelona manager of all-time FC Barcelona continued their dominant start to the new season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Galatasaray on Tuesday. The victory helped the Catalans maintain their 100% winning record in all competitions this season, with the team also having won all of their eight league matches so far. With ten wins in ten matches in all competitions, Hansi Flick appears to have etched himself into the history books at Barcelona. Hansi Flick breaks another record According to OPTA, Flick now boasts the highest win percentage of any manager in Barcelona’s history to have taken charge of at least ten matches. The German has won 98 of his 127 games at the helm, a remarkable success rate of 77%. That edges him ahead of Luis Enrique, who sits second on 76% from 138 wins in 181 matches. Completing the top five are a trio of club legends. Tito Vilanova ranks third on 75%, followed by Pep Guardiola on 72% and Helenio Herrera on 71%. To have surpassed names of that calibre, each of whom delivered sustained success at the Camp Nou, speaks volumes about the standards Flick has set in a relatively short space of time. His side’s relentless, free-scoring football has translated directly into a rate of winning that no predecessor can match. What’s next for Flick’s Barcelona? Barcelona travel to Real Betis on Saturday before a daunting Champions League trip to face PSG on October 20. Then comes the biggest test of all, with Real Madrid visiting the Camp Nou for the first Clasico of the season on October 25. Should Flick’s men come through all three unbeaten, and with maximum points, they would close out October having beaten their fiercest rivals while extending one of the finest starts in the club’s history. For now, the Barcelona juggernaut shows no sign of slowing, and few would bet against them making it even more wins on the bounce.
