Soule reacts to last-minute defeat to Real Madrid: “I’m speechless. The game was in our hands.” Matias Soulé played an excellent match against Real Madrid at the Olimpico, but it wasn’t enough. The number 18 provided two assists and consistently created a superior attack, but Roma fell behind in the closing stages and Los Blancos came from behind to win the game, tying the score to 3-4. The Argentine spoke to Amazon Prime Video after the match. The 2003-born player arrived in disbelief: “I’m speechless. The game was in our hands, we’re losing a game in which we were ahead until the 70th minute. I don’t know what to say, we have to be alert for the entire 90 minutes. Let’s focus on the next one.” He then continued: “Conceding three goals like this isn’t right, we’re dead.” Soulé urged his teammates to turn the page: “We have to turn the page immediately. We’re disappointed, but we can’t let up. We played a great match, we can’t forget that.” And the Argentine concluded: “This is the worst defeat, it hurts. To end like this after the game we played… We have to take the good things and build on them.”
