Luis Enrique’s side sent a message in the first half. They dominated the opening 45 minutes and thoroughly deserved their 3-0 lead. In that form, Luis Enrique’s side are a force to be reckoned with. That was already known as PSG are chasing a three-peat of Champions League titles this season. But to see them in full flight is a sight to behold as the first half showed. However, Enzo Maresca’s side did give as good as they got in the second half. A brace from Erling Haaland did give Manchester City hope of a famous comeback. However, a lucky Maghnes Akliouche goal did give PSG the breathing space they needed in the face of a City onslaught. Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on City’s side in the second half. Despite the fact that Enzo Maresca’s side saw their eighth-match winning run come to an end, there is plenty to take from tonight’s match for them. Here are the City player ratings from an enthralling Champions League league phase fixture at the Etihad Stadium. City player ratings. Gianluigi Donnarumma-5/10:  A mixed night for Donnarumma. He saved a penalty but will be disappointed with two of the goals he conceded. Abdukodir Khusanov-5/10:  Khusanov struggled immensely at right-back in the first half. He isn’t a right-back. The Uzbekistan international was much better at centre-back in the second half and he deserves credit for his turnaround in performance. Ruben Dias-5/10:  Like his teammates, the Manchester City captain struggled in the face of PSG’s first half onslaught. He wss taken off at halftime. Marc Guehi-5.5/10:  Geuhi struggled in the first half, like his team, in the face of PSG’s onslaught. However, he got better as the game wore on. Josko Gvardiol-6/10:  Gvardiol was an attacking threat all night. He did lift in the second half which was pleasing to see. Elliot Anderson-7.5/10: Anderson was up against it in the first half against PSG’s midfield. The introduction of Ayyoub Bouaddi at halftime brought Anderson to life. He showed he belongs at the highest level. Enzo Fernandez-6.5/10:  Like his team, Enzo Fernandez was overwhelmed in the first half. However, he was much better in the second half playing in an advanced attacking role. Rayan Cherki-4.5/10:  Cherki just couldn’t get into the game and he gave away possession on too many occasions before being taken off at halftime. Antoine Semenyo-6/10:  Semenyo’s work rate cannot be questioned. He toiled away all night. However, at times his touch or decision making let him down. Jeremy Doku-6/10:  Doku was Manchester City’s most dangerous attacking outlet on the left however he was taken off at halftime. Erling Haaland-8.5/10:  Haaland bagged a brace and he never stopped working for his team. On another night he could have scored four which does seem like it will come. Substitutes. Matheus Nunes-7.5/10: Manchester City were much better with Nunes at rright-back. He simply has to start as much as possible in the position. Ayyoub Bouaddi- 8.5/10:  A special display from Bouaddi after halftime. He helped give Manchester City control of midfield and he right at home against the very best. Iliman Ndiaye-8.5/10:  A superb display off the bench from Ndiaye. He sparked his team and tormented the PSG defence. Ndiaye also grabbed an assist to cap off his fine performance.
