Adams' new Plymouth role huge news - Cleverley

Adams has become sporting director at Home Park, less than a year after re-joining the club as director of football. Cleverley is in his second season in charge of the Pilgrims, having come in after the club was relegated from the Championship in 2025. "We've worked really well since he's been at the club, successfully since he's been at the club," he told BBC Radio Devon of his relationship with former Argyle manager Adams. "I think it's really important that he's sat where I am here. "He understands what I go through, how lonely that can be at times, how panic and emotion is not the best solution and he knows all those things and I'm glad that he's staying at the football club for the short, medium and long term." He added: "We're very organised and structured and routined people, which means that we understand how each other work and how that's structured and how we like to organise things. "We have a lot of things in common, a lot of respect for one another and then we try to be as good at our respective jobs as we can and I feel like we give it a good go."
