Tottenham Hotspur Are Facing Stiff Competition For This Gifted Striker: Should De Zerbi Go For Him? In a recent report , journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Dinamo Zagreb striker Dion Beljo. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to rival Manchester United, Everton, Brentford, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Leeds United and Manchester City in the race to land the Croat forward next year. Beljo’s Impressive Rise In Croat Football Beljo has enjoyed a good run of form at the Croat club in this campaign so far as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 24-year-old has registered 12 goals and grabbed six assists in 13 matches for Dinamo Zagreb this season in various competitions. The Croat talent is currently among the most talented strikers in his homeland. Hence, it is no wonder that Spurs are eyeing a move for him next year. His current contract at Dinamo Zagreb will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal next year. Beljo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. The Croat sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his side. Beljo can even use his strong 1.95m frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team. However, there are some question marks on whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to bring him on board next year. We can expect Beljo to add more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. At 24, Beljo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the North London club to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign. However, De Zerbi has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best of him next year.
