Harry Kane agrees new Bayern Munich contract until 2029
Harry Kane agrees new Bayern Munich contract until 2029 England captain Harry Kane has agreed a new deal with Bayern Munich, extending his stay with the Bundesliga champions until 2029. According to the Daily Mail , the 33-year-old striker has reached a verbal agreement on a new three-year contract, with the German champions now preparing the paperwork to make the deal official. Kane has been in blistering form this year, bagging 50 goals and is among the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or. His goalscoring form has also linked him with a big-money move to Barcelona. However, the former Tottenham Hotspur has now agreed to continue his career in Germany after settling comfortably into life at Bayern. Both Kane and the club had previously insisted there was no need to rush discussions over his future before the summer. In May, Kane made it clear that he was happy at Bayern and wanted to focus on the season and the upcoming World Cup before making any decisions. “It’s not the time to talk about that now, but there’s no panic,” he said. “We wanted to hold conversations until the end of the season, and we’ve got a World Cup still to play. “But everyone knows how much I enjoy it here. That situation is calm.” He has now backed up that claim by pledging his allegiance to the Bundesliga powerhouse . Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 in a deal worth around £100 million and is in the final year of his initial four-year contract. However, there’s no indication his new contract includes a pay rise on his current £400,000-a-week salary. Kane’s decision reflects how well his family has settled in Germany. Kane, his wife Kate and their four children moved from north London three years ago. The family has regularly been seen taking part in local activities, including Munich’s famous Oktoberfest celebrations. Meanwhile, Kane continues to deliver for club and country on the pitch. He has already scored eight goals in nine games across all competitions for Bayern.
