Barcelona midfielder determined to stay and fight for place as agent meets Deco

Barcelona midfielder determined to stay and fight for place as agent meets Deco Dani Olmo’s future has attracted attention in recent weeks, particularly following reports of Bayern Munich’s interest in the FC Barcelona midfielder . Against this backdrop, SPORT reports that Deco and the player’s agent, Juanma Lopez, met in Barcelona yesterday to discuss the attacking midfielder’s current situation and hear directly from both sides about their intentions.  The meeting took place in a calm atmosphere, with both parties keen to maintain direct communication and prevent recent reports from creating misunderstandings about the player’s future.  A Barcelona departure remains highly unlikely Although Bayern’s interest is long-standing and genuine, no negotiations are underway, and Olmo’s departure from Barcelona is currently considered highly unlikely.  For the Catalan club even to consider a sale, they would need to receive a substantial financial offer. More importantly, however, Olmo has no desire to leave. His intention is to remain at Barcelona and fight for the more prominent role he believes he can secure under Hansi Flick. It was only after Deco’s arrival, with the sporting director among his strongest supporters, that he was able to fulfil that ambition.  After waiting so many years for the opportunity to return, Olmo has no intention of giving it up at the first hurdle. He wants to stay and establish himself as an important member of the team.  Barcelona are also confident that the midfielder remains committed to the club of his dreams. That understanding helped clear up any potential doubts raised by the reports linking him with Bayern Munich.  Olmo determined to fight for a starting place Olmo wants to feel important and play a leading role in the team. Although he would have liked more minutes at the start of the season, he remains determined to earn a bigger place in Hansi Flick’s plans.  Olmo wants to fight for his place. The sporting department knows his quality and believes he has the footballing attributes to become an important figure in the side.  The club also encouraged patience, convinced that Olmo will have opportunities to demonstrate his value and increase his influence as the season progresses.  The meeting therefore served to clarify both parties’ positions and prevent further misunderstandings. Barcelona are not looking to sell, and Olmo has no intention of seeking an exit. For now, his priority is clear: to earn a more prominent role in the team.
