Barcelona president Joan Laporta launches fresh Real Madrid attack and backs Javier Tebas: ‘They want to blow everything up’

Barcelona president Joan Laporta launches fresh Real Madrid attack and backs Javier Tebas: ‘They want to blow everything up’ Barcelona president Joan Laporta has publicly backed La Liga chief Javier Tebas amid his ongoing dispute with Real Madrid , accusing Los Blancos of opposing everyone in their efforts to challenge the current state of Spanish football. Laporta defended Tebas’s experience in dealing with criticism from Real Madrid, arguing that the league president was well equipped to respond to the club’s attacks.  His comments come at a time when the tension between Real Madrid and La Liga is at its peak. “Luckily, the La Liga president has experience in these matters and knows how to counter these attacks from Real Madrid. Madrid aren’t happy with anyone and want to ruin everything. “Thank goodness Tebas is aware of this and has been through a thousand battles, so he knows how to fight off these attacks. They’re against everyone: La Liga, the Spanish Football Federation. “They can’t accept the situation they’re in. They’re going to ruin everything they possibly can,” Laporta was quoted by SPORT . Furthermore, he also directed a comment at Real Madrid, stating, “I care little about what Real Madrid does, if not nothing at all. As long as they don’t mess with Barça.” He went on to add, “We are so lucky to have Javier Tebas as La Liga president. He knows how to fight these Real Madrid attacks. “Real Madrid want to blow everything up. They want to blow up La Liga, they want to blow up the Refereeing Committee (CTA)…   “They’re not happy with the Spanish Federation either. They’re not happy with anything.”    After this, his attention quickly turned to Barcelona’s immediate sporting ambitions.  With three significant matches approaching, Laporta praised Deco’s recruitment work and Flick’s management, expressing confidence in the squad’s ability to compete across domestic and European competitions. We’ve got a brilliant team that competes very well, put together superbly by Deco’s sporting management and managed perfectly by Flick. “We’ve got plenty of talent and team spirit. Betis are playing some top-class football. “The match against PSG in Paris is the sort of fixture the football world dreams of; and then, to round off the week, we’ve got El Clásico. I hope we can win and extend our lead. It’s a big week,” he said. Laporta targets three victories in crucial week Barcelona’s upcoming schedule presents a significant challenge, with the meeting against Betis followed by a trip to face PSG before El Clásico against Real Madrid.  Laporta believes his team has the depth and quality required to navigate the demanding sequence successfully. “It’s feasible; we’ve got the squad to do it. We’re coming off the back of a great match against Galatasaray. We want to achieve this season’s objectives. “The players are playing some brilliant football. All of us Culés are very excited, relishing this moment with pride. We have to enjoy every minute,” he concluded.
