📊 Erling Haaland continues 2026/27 goal glut with Ipswich dagger

📊 Erling Haaland continues 2026/27 goal glut with Ipswich dagger Well, it would not be a Premier League weekend without a requisite goal from Manchester City's Erling Haaland. Fresh off a World Cup summer with Norway and no longer donning his Samson-like locks, the 26-year-old superstar striker has not lost his scoring touch, however, after giving Enzo Maresca's outfit a one-goal cushion heading into the halftime interval at home against Ipswich. It was a first half that hardly lacked action at the Etihad, with Phil Foden ending his 10-month goal drought to put the Cityzens in the lead on 19 minutes, only for summer signing Daizen Maeda to equalise for the Tractor Boys almost immediately. Then it was Haaland's turn, heading home from Mateo Kovačić's cross into the box to beat Christian Walton to restore the one-goal advantage. With that, Haaland now sits on seven league goals across the 2026/27 season, but more impressively, has bagged 11 goals in his last eight appearances across all competitions, after being kept quiet against Bournemouth during the opening Premier League weekend. Is Haaland destined for yet another Golden Boot crown?
