The former Arsenal striker kicked things off with a goal against Getafe last weekend, intercepting the ball in the penalty area and beating his man before firing into the corner. Jesus then provided a rather fortunate assist against Galatasaray in the Champions League, as his attempted control bounced over the defender’s head and perfectly into the path of goalscorer Karim Adeyemi . Once again, the ex-Arsenal striker made the chance count, guiding home a volley at the near post for Barcelona’s third goal of the game. In all, Jesus now has five goal contributions in his seven appearances for Barcelona, some of the best form he’s shown for a while. Barcelona are also thriving as a team, with nine wins from nine in La Liga and two wins from two in the Champions League. PSG are the only team with a better record in the European competition so far, and only by a single goal scored. For now, it’s just good to see the Brazilian playing and performing well again. Photo by David Ramos/Getty Images
