Baggies have belief in squad depth - Price

Isaac Price now has 16 goals in 77 Albion appearances - a scoring rate of one almost every five games, a healthy return for a midfielder [Adam Fradgley - Getty Images] West Bromwich Albion midfielder Isaac Price says the strength of the Baggies' squad is a big part of their success this season after winning both their past two games with goals from players off the bench. After last Tuesday's late winner from Aune Heggebo at Wrexham - after Price himself had equalised - Albion did it again on Saturday as they this time came from two goals down to beat former Baggies boss Tony Mowbray's Blackburn Rovers. Felix Horn Myhre's 89th-minute header, just two minutes after coming on - his first league goal for the club - marked the third time in 11 league games this season in which James Morrison's side have come from behind to win. "We've got a good squad and there's a lot of belief," Price told BBC Radio WM. "The subs changed the game at Wrexham in midweek and they did again here. "Felix gets into goalscoring positions and he can get a lot more goals. "No player wants to be rested but, in the grand scheme of things, it's for the best. You can't be playing too many games. It helps keep players fresh. "We had a really poor start. We conceded two poor goals that we shouldn't concede but we still controlled large parts of the game and we got there in the end." After two defeats followed by two straight wins, the Baggies are now into an expanded six-team Championship play-off zone currently dominated by Midlands sides - Birmingham City (fourth), Albion (fifth) Stoke City (sixth) and Wolves (eighth). But, even though Albion now head to struggling bottom club Preston North End this Saturday, Price says they are keeping a grip on their emotions. "We don't get too down when it's going badly and we don't get too high when we're going well," he added. "There are a lot of games in this league and things can change very quickly." Price on Panenkas - 'It looks good when it comes off' Isaac Price's 'Panenka' penalty was his sixth Albion goal of the season [Adam Fradgley - Getty Images] Although he did not get the glory of the winning goal in either of Albion's past two games, Price got the equaliser in both, as well as an assist for Heggebo's Racecourse Ground winner. And the Northern Ireland midfielder did capture a bit of the limelight for his cheeky 'Panenka' penalty to wrongfoot Blackburn's Hungarian international goalkeeper Balazs Toth and make it 2-2. "I've missed two in international matches," he said. "I know their keeper plays for Hungary and I knew they've been watching my recent penalties, so I thought now the time was right to try it. "It looks good when it comes off. But, if the keeper had stood where he was in the middle and caught it, there might have been a few people not too happy."
