Lassine Sinayoko says Paris FC can ‘go right to the top’

Lassine Sinayoko says Paris FC can ‘go right to the top’ Paris FC sit third in Ligue 1 after their last-gasp win over Stade Rennais on Sunday afternoon. They sit behind current league leaders Olympique Lyonnais on goal difference, whilst second-placed Paris Saint-Germain only better their cross-city rivals on goals scored. It has been an excellent start to the season for Les Parisiens, who bounced back from last weekend’s loss to FC Lorient with a standout win over Rennes, secured by Lassine Sinayoko’s injury-time winner from the penalty spot. “We can do big things,” promised the Malian striker post-match. “How far can we go? This team can go right to the top. When we can play like that, we see that lots of great things can happen to us. Our objective is to win every match.” Since taking over as manager over the summer, Liam Rosenior has presided over four wins, two losses, and one draw. The start-of-season objective was to be in contention for the European places. His side are on course to do just that and, as things stand, they are in a position that would see them qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Rosenior, however, pointed out that it is still early in the season. “No one will remember in May where we were in October. The important thing for us is to focus on the next match, to not get carried away, to keep our feet on the ground,” said the former Chelsea and RC Strasbourg Alsace manager. Next up for Paris FC is a tricky trip to face RC Lens. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
