Saints can't win every game but aim to - Peretz
Daniel Peretz has kept three clean sheets this season [Getty Images] Southampton goalkeeper Daniel Peretz said that his side have to start turning draws into wins if they are to achieve their goal of automatic promotion. Having started the campaign on minus four points and after 11 games sit seventh in the table with 17 points. They have drawn three matches this season with the most recent on Saturday when Eckert's side were frustrated by Bolton at St Mary's in a stalemate. "We want to win the league so we know that we need to win those games," Peretz told BBC Radio Solent. "Especially when we are dominant we needed to focus and have more tempo, so it's on ourselves but we will learn what we need to do and go to the next one. "We cannot win every single game but we're aiming for that and especially when we're dominant, we're home, we need to win." Peretz has made 39 appearances for Southampton and kept 11 clean sheets since joining the club last season, initially on loan from Bayern Munich. Southampton's narrow win over Portsmouth earned them a first clean sheet of the campaign and they have since gone on to back that up with two more in their past two matches. Peretz said that the club worked on their defending during the international break. "We improve every game and the clean sheet is not only mine, it's all the team because we worked really good in the break," he added. "The staff did a lot of work on how to improve our defensive game and not only the defenders, so a good word for all of the team because it's a team achievement. "When you keep the clean sheet you cannot lose so that's a great base, but again some more things were missing and we will also work on them to see how we can score more."
