Chelsea sign forward Adedini on professional deal
Chelsea sign forward Adedini on professional deal Chelsea have completed the permanent signing of French forward Rachael Adedini. The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning. The 17-year-old has signed her first professional contract upon joining Chelsea. She will stay with the South West Londoners until summer 2029. Adedini started her career in her native France. She spent her early years playing for FCM Ingré and US Orléans. In 2022, she joined the Manchester United academy before making the switch to the Manchester City academy two years later. Adedini was named in Manchester City’s senior squad on a handful of occasions last season, although she remained an unused substitute. On the international stage, Adedini has represented France at various youth levels up to and including Under-19 level. After joining Chelsea on a professional deal, Adedini said “I’m very happy to be here. I’m excited, and I’m grateful to be here. “I’m thankful to God, and the reason behind this is because my brother’s a big fan, and we’ve always loved Chelsea, so playing here today is a massive pride for me and my family.” Adedini will now continue her development at Chelsea. The club could opt to send the player out on loan to get some senior minutes in the future, as they have done with many of their other up and coming talents.
