Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Ligue 1 Winger: Should Alonso Move In For Him?
Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Ligue 1 Winger: Should Alonso Move In For Him? In a recent post on X , journalist Ekrem Konur claimed that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on Strasbourg winger Gessime Yassine. It has been mentioned that the Blues are close to sealing a move for the Moroccan talent. Yassine’s Impressive Rise In French Football The 20-year-old has managed to catch the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Strasbourg’s attack in this campaign so far. Yassine has scored two goals and picked up two assists in seven matches for the French club last season in all competitions. The talented youngster is currently among the most gifted wide players in Ligue 1 . Therefore, the Blues would do well to lure him to Stamford Bridge next year. His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Chelsea to land him on a cut-price deal this January or at the end of this campaign. Cox/Getty Images) Should Chelsea Boss Xabi Alonso Move In For Yassine? Yassine is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has the vision to engineer some decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and can strike the ball with power from long range. The Moroccan talent has already added some goals and assists to his game. Yassine is primarily a right-winger but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. However, there are some question marks on whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to get a deal done for him next year. We can expect Yassine to bring more quality and depth to Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at Stamford Bridge in the coming years. At 20, the future looks quite promising for Yassine as long as he continues to improve with each season. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the long run, so Alonso would be wise to move in for him in this January transfer period or at the end of this campaign.
