PSG manager Luis Enrique: ‘I have the best players in the world.’ Luis Enrique was full of praise for the Paris Saint-Germain squad on a night that his side overcame the side touted as their closest competitor in this season’s UEFA Champions League, Barcelona (4-2). It is three games, three wins in the UCL as PSG look to secure a third consecutive title. Luis Enrique, however, isn’t too fixated on results or making statements at this phase of the campaign. “I don’t care about [the favourites tag] because I don’t see PSG as the favourite,” began the Spaniard in a press conference attended by Get French Football News. “This match isn’t decisive. The decisive month will be in April. This will be the most important month, with knockout matches. In the meantime, we have to win every match.” He was, however, much more bullish about the quality of his players. Asked if PSG’s midfield is the best in the world, Luis Enrique replied, “Of course! [As well as Vitinha, Joao Neves, and Fabián Ruiz], there is Warren (Zaire-Emery) as well. Let’s not forget Dro (Fernandez), Senny (Mayulu), (Lucas) Beraldo… I have the best players in the world. They are the best for me. There are no better players than ours.” GFFN | Luke Entwistle
