Liverpool wonderkid to be given golden chance by Andoni Iraola
Liverpool wonderkid to be given golden chance by Andoni Iraola Liverpool's starting XI has already been changed multiple times this season. Andoni Iraola is yet to find his strongest 11 thanks to the sheer number of injuries his team have suffered. Of course, some members of his squad have managed to nail their positions down such as Ronald Araujo, Alisson and Virgil van Dijk but others, mainly in their attack, still haven't managed to do that yet. From an outsiders perspective, this could mean one of two things, the first being that they have too many good players among their ranks and can't decide with the second being that they don't have enough talent. Obviously, it's unclear which way Iraola feels about his squad but, the fact that one of Liverpool's wonderkids could be about to get handed a golden opportunity by the Spaniard means that he's happy to experiment and figure out who his best options are. Trey Nyoni could be handed a starting role now that Dominik Szoboszlai is out injured again Since Trey Nyoni is only be 19 years old, he's seen as one of Liverpool's brightest prospects. Most fans thought that the Englishman would get loaned out this term with clubs such as Swansea showing an interest in him. However, after Arne Slot was sacked , it was clear that wasn't going to be the case as he stopped him from exiting thanks to his pre-season performances. Since then, he's played a fairly regular role for Liverpool but, now that Dominik Szoboszlai is injured, he may have more of a chance at starting for the Reds. When he's been used alongside Alexis Mac Allister in the middle of the park, the duo have formed a dynamic partnership and have often won most of the midfield battles that they've faced. This is majorly different to how things pan out with Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch who seem to make one another worse when used as a double pivot. Obviously, changes could be made to try and resolve this but, with the Hungarian out of action, now feels like the time for Nyoni to shine. Trey Nyoni could be Liverpool's next Fabinho One player that Liverpool have never managed to replace is Fabinho . The Brazilian exited Anfield back in 2023 and, when he eft, most fans thought that someone would be signed in his place or an academy graduate such as Stefan Bajcetic would fill the void. Obviously, none of these things ever happened which resulted in Mac Allister and Gravenberch filling in as the Reds' number six and, while they both did well, it was clear that neither of them were naturals in that position. Nothing has proven that more than Gravenberch this season. The Dutchman has barely had an impact on any of the games he's featured in with most fans asking him to be axed for Nyoni or Mac Allister. As mentioned, Nyoni is only 19 years old so he obviously can't play two 90 minute games per week but, if he manages to do well in Szoboszlai 's absence, he could make a solid name for himself in L4.
